The Residents of Rochen-Kamandao Walk in Mass to Appreciate Impact Sierra Leone for putting smile on Their faces.

Inspired to Empower!
Imagine waking up to the sound of cheerful singing and handclapping, then stepping outside of your home and seeing dozens of happy faces. Well, this was what Impact Sierra Leone’s CEO, Dr. Mohamed Bangura encountered early Sunday morning on July 26th in front of his home in Rochen-Kamandao, Sierra Leone.
Led by mostly women and children, residents of the Rochen-Kamandao rural community came out to sing songs of praise in appreciation for Impact Sierra Leone’s efforts to help restore their village through its joint farming initiative with Kampala Agricultural Farming Association. It was clear through their singing and cheering in their native tongue that they were appreciative and grateful for the work being done.
Dr. Bangura thanked them and reiterated the importance of this collaborative effort and assured them that Impact Sierra Leone is committed to ensuring the success of this project.
The Rochen-Kamandao community is one of several villages participating in the agricultural program which will bring much needed produce and other healthy foods to the region. More importantly, the project has and will continue providing a source of income to many of the families in this region who are in dire situations.
Since the official launch of the project in June, efforts are underway to schedule farm education trainings, secure farming tools and supplies, appropriate outerwear (especially for the upcoming rainy season), provision of stipends for participants and other training materials. The Impact Sierra Leone team is on the ground taking the necessary steps to ensure that our goals and objectives are met through regular reporting and collaboration among stakeholders.
Research has shown that one of the most effective ways to fight hunger is to support indigenous and sustainable agriculture.
Our goal is to support rural farming communities such as Rochen-Kamandao in meeting the needs of its people using sustainable and effective agricultural practices. The lives and well-being of so many are at stake, especially the youth, orphans, and widows. Please help us impact lives and spread humanity by joining our efforts. Together, we can make a difference and together we can transform communities.
