Empowering the Next Generation of Africa’s Workforce through Skills Training.

Journey with us to a small village in the northern region of what we know as the “Diamond Country”, Sierra Leone. This village is called Foindu, a remote community in Sierra Leone, West Africa that endured immense hardship during the 11-year civil war in the country, with homes looted and burned, women and girls subjected to horrific acts of violence, and all hopes of development destroyed. Just as the community was beginning to rebuild from the rubble of the war, it was struck by the devastating Ebola outbreak in 2014 and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. These consecutive crises brought all progress to a standstill, leaving the future of Foindu in a bleak state.

Impact Sierra Leone (ISL) is on a mission to close the critical skills gap in the Foindu community and unlock new economic opportunities for talented individuals. ISL is excited to construct a state-of-the-art skills development training center that will transform futures and serveas an Agribusiness hub. Located in the heart of Foindu, this innovative center will feature modern, fully-equipped classrooms and hands-on learning workshops with cutting-edge curriculum in high-growth industries like agriculture, technology, Information Communication Technology (ICT) and skilled trades such as tailoring and artwork.

With your support, we will be equipping the Foindu community with specialized knowledge and practical skills that seek to empower women and youths with the tools they need to build meaningful careers to unlock new economic opportunities and lift themselves and their families out of extreme poverty for a brighter and more sustainable  future.

This facility will be a game-changer for Foindu. Donate TODAY to support the construction of our Vocational Skills Development training center and transform lives in a deprived but thriving community.
